I had the wonderful opportunity to contribute my talents to the Northwest Down Syndrome Association public awareness campaign. These are only a few of the delightful children I had the honor of photographing with their loved ones. Here is the mission statement behind the photo campaign:

All Born (In) is a movement in pursuit of an inclusive, civil society.

All Born (In) is a parent-driven, best practices initiative created by the Northwest Down Syndrome Association in partnership with Portland State University, the Universal Design for Living and Learning Coalition, and many other innovative parents and professionals.

“Disability is a natural part of the human experience that does not diminish the right of individuals with developmental disabilities to enjoy the opportunity to live independently, enjoy self-determination, make choices, contribute to society, and experience full integration and inclusion in the economic, political, social, cultural, and educational mainstream of American society.”
